With the blessing and at the initiative of His Holy Highness Ambrozie, bishop of Giurgiu, anul trecut a fost infiintat in cadrul Manastirii Comana, Centrul cultural "Radu Serban Voievod", sub patronajul Episcopiei Giurgiului.
The center is managed by Pr. abbot Mihail Muscariu and operates in the "Throne Room"of the Princely House.
Activities
1. Conferences of spiritual / cultural nature with various guests
2. Scholarships "Saint Catherine" for deserving children from the general schools in the commune of Comana.
3. Establishment of the publisher "Comana Monastery" for publishing specialized works
4. Preparation and publication of the Comana Monastery Monograph - Comana Monastery - history, holiness, eternity. Five centuries of prayer and sacrifice."
5. Organizing temporary / permanent exhibitions with photos from the archive of the Monastery.
6. Organizing the annual commemoration of the monastery documentary attestation on the last Sunday of September (the nearest date to September 27)
7. Organizing the annual commemoration of British soldiers who died on May 15, 1944, the first Sunday of May, with the occasion of the Peony Festival.
8. Enriching and cataloging of the book fund of the Monasterys Library "St. bishop Brancovici Sava".
9. Organizing of pilgrimages for documentation and research.
10. Partnerships with museums, libraries or similar institutions in the country and abroad.
